We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of our very first clothing drive! Our inaugural drive, held in Milpitas, covered three key areas: the Dixon Landing, Beresford, and Folsom neighborhoods.
The journey began on the first weekend, where we mass-printed custom hangers to facilitate our collection process. After this, we first advanced into the Dixon Landing neighborhood, where we covered 16 apartments.
The following weekend, we completed the remaining houses in Folsom and Beresford. The result? A phenomenal collection of 1.5 articles of clothing! Each article was carefully sorted and prepared for its next chapter - to be distributed to those who need them most.
All proceeds from the drive were donated to the Bill Wilson Center, a branch of the Safety Net Shelters network in Santa Clara. This partnership ensures that every piece of clothing reaches individuals and families facing hardship, providing warmth and support during challenging times.
We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative. From our volunteers to the residents who generously donated clothing, your efforts have made a tangible difference. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to see what we can achieve together in the future.
Stay tuned for updates on our next drive as we continue building community support around clothing access and sustainability.
